Psi-Fire

Psi-Fire possesses high-level telepathic telekinetic and pyrokinetic abilities, making him one of the most powerful beings on earth. With his psychic dampeners in check, however, he’s only capable of using his abilities at half-strength and is completely cut off from his telepathic powers.

Born a triple-kinetic (pyrokinetic, telekinetic and telepathic), David Waller was the only son of a pair of nuclear physicists who could spare little time for anything outside of their respective jobs, let alone a precocious young boy. When David’s mental abilities surfaced in his early teens, he was already considerably troubled from the lack of attention he received from his parents. Frustrated and confused by what was happening to his young mind, David projected his anguish onto his parents, eventually killing them as punishment for their abuses. Wanted by the police for the murder of his parents, David began to treat his criminal status as a game, ruthlessly murdering people simply for the fun of it.

Later apprehended by Youngblood, David was taken into custody and given extensive psychological treatment When no progress was made, dampeners on him to limit his abilities. For a time, this seemed to have a stabilizing effect on David and after more rehabilitation, he was admitted into the Youngblood program.

After Youngblood’s battle with Darkthorn in Berlin, Germany, Psi-Fire transferred his essence into the body of a female technician. Psi-fire engaged Team Youngblood in battle and, during that fight, was defeated by the collective soul that gives Masada her super human abilities. Whether or not Psi-Fire’s consciousness remains in the female technician’s body is currently unknown.
